Reseña del libro de Claudio Ramos: el dispositivo de selección universitaria. Mérito, ciencia, justicia social (Chile, 1850-2022)
Resumo
This review introduces the book The University Selection Device: Merit, Science, and Social Justice (Chile, 1850-2022), published by Claudio Ramos in 2023. It begins by considering the context of the author's work from which the book emerges and outlines its organization. Subsequently, some of the main achievements of the book are discussed, with a focus on how it connects the work of certain actors with the evolving forms of the device. Finally, various questions and reflections arising from the reading of this work are considered, specifying ontological aspects, performatives effects in education, device crises, and prospects for future research.
